Delivering public sector value

Rimini Street wanted a case study film about how it’s unified software services and application management services for SAP had helped Waltham Forest Council save money and deliver better services.

Key to a good testimonial film are good interviews. The interviewees need to be at ease, the questions structured so they clearly tell their story. Both Simon Copsey and Debbie Pengli were excellent: succinct about the challenges they had been dealing with, such as central government cuts leading to a halving of support for SAP, and how Rimini Street helped them overcome them.

We also took advantage of the Waltham Forest’s striking town hall and the opportunity to capture b-roll of some of the council’s services, including a morning rubbish collection. We structured the film as a day in the life of the council, with the opening sequence showing Simon Copsey, its assistant director of ICT operations, arriving in the morning. This way we avoided too many shots of people staring at monitors and tapping on keyboards.

The shots of council services and Waltham Forest residents, including a celebratory little boy, illustrate the importance of the council to its community, and why it getting bang for its buck is so crucial.
